Back to Trivia Page

Bertha Shean Davis first came to Western as a music instructor in 1914. In 1917 she was named Dean of Women and retained that position until her retirement in 1947. The dedication was written by Lucia C. Harrison, Geography Department emerita, who taught at Western from 1909 until her retirement, also in 1947.
