Dedicated / installed 1997. 1 1/4 size bronze casting. Located in front of Read Fieldhouse.

The WMU Bronco originated as the central figure in a grouped monumental sculpture installation, "The Day the Wall Came Down", by Veryl Goodnight. The total composition includes the central stallion surrounded by four mares, all leaping over the ruins of the Berlin Wall. Two complete castings were made of this work. One was installed in the Allied Museum of Berlin, Germany, in 1998, and other at the Presidential Library of George H. W. Bush, in 1997.

Veryl Goodnight lives in Sante Fe, New Mexico.
